My Country 'tis of Thee

Well, tonight I sang the national anthem at the University of Tennessee at Martin's 40th annual college rodeo. This is a huge deal with tons of people. I love to sing for big crowds like that so I enjoyed every minute of it! It was awesome

Here is a video of it. The video got started kind of late but this is still most of it. Just to show you the magnitude of the event, look at the pan of the crowd at the end of the video. That was just one side of the arena. The other side was packed with standing-room-only as well.

The Lord certainly has blessed me with this talent. I give him all the glory of this video.

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

*gasp*...DJ, I am speechless! That was amazing! Can I have your autograph? Hehee...no seriously--that was the BEST! That song is very very hard to sing and you nailed it...your voice is very strong and you didn't even seem the slightest bit nervous!! Ah, will you still remember us when you are famous???
Love ya DJ--that was beautiful!
